Classes I wish my university offered- Part 1

I'm in my last year of psychology and don't get me wrong I love what I'm studying, but there are days when I find myself dreaming about what might be going on in other classes, and what could be the most unusual learning programs the education system could come up with if I were given the opportunity to design new classes:

1. TV series 101

An introduction to the cultural phenomenon of TV shows and their impact on all social and psychological aspects of people. The study would analyse the most popular series associated to each generation of viewers and how it affectes they way people think.
Furthermore, an overview of the differents channels and networks, processes of ratings, broadcasting, an indept analysis of how tv shows get picked or cancelled and how the executive run the shows would also be on the course schedule. The homeworks for this class would include 2 pages reviews of episodes selected from your favorite shows, biographies and researches on actors & many other creative and fun stuff.

2. Dating 101

Everybody knows this class would be useful in order to avoid a lot painful mishaps. The subject (not as a class to itself) is already dealt with in most universities through programs or majors like sexology, sociology and even in psychology. This class however would teach you the many aspects of the dating life from the overview of the ideal process of the first date, the psychology behing flirting, to statistics related to dating & of course an introduction to sexual intercourse ( brief and not too graphic). The homeworks for this class would include re-enactements of actual dates with a partner (group assignments will never get better than this in real life), essays on dating related matters...

3. The art of procrastination

Or the sacred art of creatively "doing nothing". I think this class would be my favorite hands down. You can see this as a philosophy class where students will learn how to assertively avoid actual work and concentrate on bogus occupations, which is in fact a great way of creating ideas for future projects. In other words, no academic nor any kind of material is required for the class as the student would just sit in the class and explore the ways of doing nothing specific. Although a laptop would be useful-the internet is the best incentive for a successful procrastination.
No homework for this class !

Coming soon in part 2:
Advanced principles of shopping
The evolution of Marvel Comics
Advanced analysis of vampires in the medias

I like your procrastination idea. I actually started an online group called Yes, Procrastion is an Art Form.

Though, I have to say maybe giving procrastinators homework would encourage even more procrastination.
