Blogging & Bloggers: Part 1

You know what I love the most about blogging ? It's reading other blogs. I spend more time reading various blogs on so many diverse topics, some are really interesting, some can be a bit shocking, some are plain childish but overall everyone on the blogosphere has a voice, an imprint waiting to be noticed. I read so many blogs that my bookmarks folders are starting to require a browser of their own. So I thought that it would be nice to talk about some of the blogs I read on a regular basis.

Ps: The blogs are not listed in order of preference or anything

1. Me Gusta De Leer
The author mostly does short reviews of books she reads. the choices of books seem timeless as the themes fluctuate from ancient mythology to modern pop culture.
What is great about the blog is the concise reviews (which doesn't give too much of the story), and the cover pictures that make it easier to find the books on "amazon" or "Chapters"

2. Scary Film
The title is self explanatory. The site is sort of a non-exhaustive database of horror movie reviews. Bad movies, masterpieces of horror, anything goes. The author gives his take on all the movies he can get his hands on, and he's doing it great. The only negative thing about the site is that sometimes he gives away too much of the plot.

3. Supernatural Sisters
The blog revolves around the world of the tv show "Supernatural", about the Winchester boys and their evil hunting adventures. This show being one my favorites, I really like reading the very detailed reviews, the discussions and the numerous posts about the show. The authors bring up all the questions and ideas that every fan is dealing with watching the show. What is also great about the blog is that the writers are really passionate about all aspects of the show and not only on the fact that the Winchester brothers are easy on the eyes.

4. What's Alan Watching?
The blog does reviews of tv show episodes. The blog is updated very frequently. The author, a TV critic, seems to really take pleasure in dissecting every episode, a few hours after they air on TV. What is "genial" with this site is the interactions between the author and the blog followers. The debates are upbeat, interesting and can get a little bit heated sometimes, but all in total respect of diverging opinions.

5. Shorty Bop´s La la land
This blog is good looking, the author writes about her travel adventures and adds beautiful pictures of sceneries, interesting interior designs. I wouldn't know in what category to put this site in, but it relaxing to read and wander around the creative mind of this blog.

6. On Common Ground
This blog is like a "bouillabaisse" (sorry for the french, I'm feeling lazy today) of awesome blog topics. The blog isn't focused on any specific matter as the posts fluctuate from books, travel to fashion, without forgetting of course to put delightful recipes from time to time. Those recipes might be the thing I love the most about the site. The food looks yummy and it's really easy to follow the directives. This blog always makes me hungry.

7. LadyLakerLover
As the title implies, this a Lakers fan blog. Frequently updated with game reviews and players profiles, the blog is all about the Lakers and the NBA. The author also add thorough analysis of the players stats and their progression from season to season. This is a great sports blog.

Part 2 coming soon

unfortunately, i have not much time lately for blogging. maybe it's a phase. and maybe it's because i am enough of reading so much. too much information / so little time for writing what i like most: poetry.

and that requires silence.

best wishes for you
jorge

don't let anyone know I told you this but any shmuck can learn to draw. It's just like playing an instrument, it takes practice, you learn by copying other people's stuff and eventually you can create some pretty cool stuff.
